How do you tell which years are "up" and which are "down" for UMKC?

I use place. First year in wac 6th place. 2nd year in wac tied for 2nd. 3rd year in wac 6th place. 4th year in wac 4th place. Notice a pattern bottom half of league then top half of league. NMSU and GCU have significantly easier schedule than most other teams in the WAC something its looks like they are trying to improve so its hard to compare overall records.

UMKC has had trouble winning road games in the WAC, but has nice home court. Travel is a large part of this. This keeps us close to 500 in the WAC. So up is when we win slightly more road games and down is when we pretty much loose all the road games.

Everyone has the same travel schedule though in conference.

UMKC and Chicago St travel way more miles than any other team in the WAC. Seattle is the farthest place in the Continental US from Kansas City. NMSU is the 2nd closest school and its 1k miles away.

In 2014-2015 UMKC won every home conference game besides NMSU. We lost every road game besides Utah Valley and Chicago St.

UMKC has to travel larger distances more frequently. They have to go to Seattle, Phoenix, Bakersfield, Las Cruces, Texas and Utah from Kansas City which is the main point. Their only closeish game is Chicago State. Pretty ignorant to say it's all the same travel.

We can only hope our coaches and their staff are good evaluators of talent and we go with it. IMO, Barnes, Majerle, Pope and Jans while at Wichita State have done so. Exciting times for the WAC ahead.

Agree with this a lot except even four stars can be busts. The only reality in recruiting is a top 10 overall recruit will get drafted in the NBA. That is why I hardly pay attention. This year was different because UMKC had so many seniors so I wanted to see at least what positions we were recruiting. No idea on any of their talent until they play against other DI teams.

4 star recruits are rarely busts and if they come to the WAC it's pretty much guaranteed they will be successful.

Jermaine Haley was a 4 star recruit and didn't impress last year. To quote: Pretty ignorant to say if they come to the WAC it's pretty much guaranteed they will be successful.

Not a 4 star recruit. Rivals rankings are always inflated. You always a dick?

And he signed with Georgetown.

Figured he would.

As I stated on the Aggie board, I think Jans should go the grad transfer route and just find enough talent to help our team nucleus, Harris, Ndir, and Chuha; a one year quick fix. Then focus on the 2018 class to land our next generation of star Aggie players.

The lose of Dickerson to Georgetown is a bummer but their are other D1 transfers pickups who could make an impact this coming season.

Surprised you don't list Jemerrio as a nucleus guy. Is it just because next season is his last and the other 3 will be around longer? Of the players believed to be returning at this point, I think J. Jones has the highest ceiling.

Jermaine Haley was a good player. He was a freshman last season playing a position that he was never comfortable playing. He is a point guard.

Seattle U, too. I guess it's on to the next in recruiting for both schools.
I love Clarity. "Another blow for the Aggies". You must write soap operas scripts for a living. I hate to break your gloom and doom party but NMSU will be just fine. We have all WAC Eli Chuha coming back, ESPN Top 100 Ohio State transfer player point guard from 2015 A.J. Harris with 3 years of eligibility left coming back, and Sidy Ndir, a transfer from a SEC school who was our leading scorer last year before he went down last year with also 3 years of eligibility left coming back. Add Marlon Jones, James Wilkens (starter from last year), 3 star Johnny McCants #1 high school player out of New Mexico (I know Clarity, NM High school competition sucks), Joe Garza, scrappy point guard who played very well last year. Just with that group we are already in the hunt for another top 1-3 finish in the WAC and another WAC championship. I like the Miles kid who adds depth and we will see if Jermerrio Jones sticks around. If he does that's even more of a bonus. Don't worry WAC mates. NMSU will still be in the hunt for championships.

I am. Losing that recruit is not that big of a "blow". The Aggies will get other recruits to fill in the void to an already pretty loaded team. I'm listing our "recruits" we already have on the team and whatever Jans gets will further compliment a good team. Quit whining every time someone disagrees with you. "He was a BIG Jans target". Also remember even with the loses, New Mexico State is still the favorite to win the WAC.

Not whining, it's pretty apparent you have a sad, pathetic grudge you can't drop. You drag every post of mine off topic. You're like 50 and you behave like a 12 year old. Grow up. A user here told me you are a weak, timid person in real life. It makes a lot of sense, you need to flex your muscles on the internet because you live a sad life. Stop replying to my posts, you are obsessed.

No one here knows me. If you are referring to Lopesup up who stalked me in Phoenix I wasn't in the mood to chit chat with him. Dream on what you think of what I'm like. It gets old your back handed insults toward NMSU and your ridiculous exaggerated view of CSUB's program.
