All series are Thursday through Saturday unless weather changes it.

(45) ODU (18-9) at (66) FAU (16-11)
(240) WKU (6-21) at (75) FIU (12-15)
(80) Charlotte (15-12) at (104) Marshall (12-15)

(33) LT (16-11) at (116) MT (8-19)
(14) USM (22-5) at (93) UTSA (15-12)

1-5 have locked up a berth. 6-9 are vying for the remaining 3 spots. USM is the only team to have its seeding determined

1 - USM (22-5) -- at UTSA
2 - ODU (18-9) -- at FAU
3 - LT (16-11) -- at MT
4 - FAU (16-11) -- host ODU
5 - UTSA (15-12) -- host USM
6 - Charlotte (15-12) -- at Marshall
7 - Rice (14-13) -- at UAB
8 - FIU (12-15) -- host WKU

FIU beat Marshall 2-1
MT swept UAB

RE: final CUSA weekend games of regular season
my guess on the tournament bracket

1 USM
2 ODU
3 LT
4 FAU
5 Rice
6 Charlotte
7 UTSA
8 FIU

If that happens I could see La Tech doing what we did in last year's tourney as a 3 seed and going undefeated on their side. Last year the 1/4/5 seeds were FAU/Rice/La Tech....in this scenario it would be USM/FAU/Rice

FAU sweeping wouldn't bump them into the Top 50, would it?

it would be a close call but it would knock ODU out of the top 50.....but I think what you were possibly getting at is it would improve our record vs Top 50 as we swept FAU and lost 2 of 3 to ODU

At the same time I would like to see Marshall win a couple this weekend vs Charlotte so that our record against teams outside the top 100 is only the 1 loss at Alabama.....and that's assuming Xavier (98) doesn't TTT it at home against Georgetown (206)

RE: final CUSA weekend games of regular season
Rice up 9-2 on UAB after 5
FIU up 9-6 on WKU after 3

Should Rice hang on and win Rice would clinch its spot in Biloxi. FIU would then need 1 more win or a Marshall loss to clinch the final spot.

RE: final CUSA weekend games of regular season
Standings after Thursday's games. FIU will have at least an 11 run lead going to the 9th so I'm going to go ahead and give them the win

1 - USM (23-5) -- at UTSA
2 - ODU (18-10) -- at FAU
3 - FAU (17-11) -- host ODU
4 - Charlotte (16-12) -- at Marshall
5 - LT (16-12) -- at MT
6 - Rice (15-13) -- at UAB
7 - UTSA (15-13) -- host USM
8 - FIU (13-15) -- host WKU
Marshall (12-16) -- host Charlotte
-------eliminated from CUSA tournament--------
MT (9-19) -- host LT
UAB (8-20) -- host Rice
WKU (6-22) -- at FIU

Charlotte beat LT 2-1
Rice beat UTSA 2-1

1 more FIU win OR 1 more Marshall loss puts FIU in Biloxi.

RE: final CUSA weekend games of regular season
Standings going into Saturday

1 - USM (25-5) -- reg season complete
2 - ODU (19-10) -- at FAU
3 - FAU (17-12) -- host ODU
4 - Charlotte (17-12) -- at Marshall
5 - LT (17-12) -- at MT
6 - Rice (16-13) -- at UAB
7 - UTSA (15-15) -- reg season complete
8 - FIU (14-15) -- host WKU
------eliminated from CUSA tournament-----
9 - Marshall (12-17) -- host Charlotte
10 - MT (9-20) -- host LT
11 - UAB (8-21) -- host Rice
12 - WKU (6-23) -- at FIU

Charlotte beat LT 2-1, lost to FAU 2-1
LT lost to Charlotte 2-1, DNP FAU
FAU beat Charlotte 2-1, DNP LT

USM has clinched 1 seed
ODU has clinched 2 seed
If FIU wins Saturday they are 7 and UTSA is 8
If FIU loses Saturday FIU is the 8 seed and UTSA is 7
Good luck figuring out 3, 4, 5 and 6 should there be a 4 way tie

RE: final CUSA weekend games of regular season
Current RPIs and seeds of teams in CUSA tournament:

1 - USM (9)
2 - ODU (43)
3 - FAU (65)
4 - La Tech (34)
5 - Charlotte (71)
6 - Rice (58)
7 - UTSA (100)
8 - FIU (77)

These will change some after tomorrow's games but who knows how much.
For any remote chance of getting a top 8 seed we'll obviously have to go 4-0. Ideally we would need FIU to lose tomorrow so we can play them in game 1. Their RPI will take a hit with a home loss to WKU but it'll still be 10-15 spots better than UTSA. We then need Rice and La Tech to be the 4/5 seeds with La Tech winning Wednesday as well. Thursday we'd play LT and then play them again Saturday after they eliminate Rice on Friday. Then on Sunday beat ODU for the championship with them going undefeated on their side. That scenario gives us 3 more top 50 wins and let's us gain revenge against our only series loss for the season.

I agree....just saying this would be best/only case scenario for us to get a national seed.

RE: final CUSA weekend games of regular season
Just win Wednesday, then we'll worry about Thursday. Once the tournament is over, won't matter who we played to get there. Just win, go 4-0, and we'll be in serious discussion. We can't control our opponents. Let the dominoes fall. Some bubble national seeds will probably lose this coming week and open up that slot for us. Handle our business and let the committee decide.

RE: final CUSA weekend games of regular season
Standings with some Saturday games complete

1 - USM (25-5)
2 - ODU (19-11)
3 - FAU (18-12)
4 - Charlotte (17-12) -- at Marshall
5 - LT (17-12) -- at MT
6 - Rice (16-13) -- at UAB
7 - FIU (15-15)
8 - UTSA (15-15)
------eliminated from CUSA tournament-----
9 - Marshall (12-17) -- host Charlotte
10 - MT (9-20) -- host LT
11 - UAB (8-21) -- host Rice
12 - WKU (6-24)

Charlotte up 8-5 in 8th
LT up 5-4 in 6th at MT
Rice trails UAB 9-4 in b8

Using head to head tiebreakers below it's possible FAU has locked up 3 seed but not 100% sure as LT didn't play FAU

Charlotte beat LT 2-1, lost to FAU 2-1
LT lost to Charlotte 2-1, DNP FAU
FAU beat Charlotte 2-1, DNP LT

USM has clinched 1 seed
ODU has clinched 2 seed
FIU has clinched 7 seed
UTSA has clinched 8 seed
