Well to make myself feel very old, I don't consider 2002 when I was going to WKU to be in the modern trend of top players transferring out.
Talk about old. Heck, that seems like a short time ago for me.
for most people, "old" is anything that either happened before they were born or before they were old enough to remember

i'm okay with that, but they should be allowed to leave without penalty if the head coach changes after they enroll.

Okay, but only if that happens during their freshman year.

This has turned into a discussion on transfers, which is very important. I am a little torn on the transfer thing. UTEP has had a ton of players transfer out, some by design, others not. People want players to honor their commitment. They actually do honor it, even if they leave after one year. All scholarships are one year deals that are up for renewals each year. Why is it ok for a coach to decide a kid is no longer going to be on scholarship but the kid can't decide to leave after that one year deal. The end of season is a very stressful time for half the athletes on a team. My daughter goes through it every year and is dealing with it this year as her school has hired a new coach. People need to look at things from both sides of an issue.

The only way this tournament could look more small time, is if we're sponsored by Chico's Bail Bonds.

On second thought, Judy sitting in the toy car was probably worse.

Well, Frisco is a bit of a johnny-come-lately, but the Cowboys/Jones don't do things half-ass, regardless of the results.

Instead of complaining we should support it. Just a thought.

And you people think CUSA isn't innovative!

http://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketb...games-same

Quote:Michigan State athletic director Mark Hollis, who has come up with numerous innovative college basketball events -- including last week's 16-team PK80 in Portland -- is tossing around the idea of playing a similar event at Lucas Oil Stadium, only with multiple games happening simultaneously separated by curtains.

...

Hollis said his vision for an event at Lucas Oil, which hasn't even reached the dialogue stage, would also have two games going at the same time, but fans wouldn't have to leave the building -- as they did in Portland when they had to take a short walk from the Moda Center to Veterans Memorial Coliseum.

"It would be like the Masters," Hollis said. "You're at one green, hear the roar at the other green, [you] are able to go right over. You can go from one court to the other quickly. You'd have massive curtains, and 30 or 40 rows of bleachers to keep most of the sound. The only thing to worry about is whistles and horns.
