Not having any teams out that way make it to the tournament or past the 1st round won't help.

Aren't the C-USA conference offices in that same neighborhood?

C-USA needs Cowboys to schedule some practices during tournament along with Cowboy cheerleader appearances at every game.Might have a full house.

Next thing you know, they'll be expanding the CUSA tournament to 14 teams again to ensure the host team makes it.

Also hope La Tech fans don't start abbreviating "Conference" and then "University of North Texas." 05-stirthepot

The announcement is mysteriously short on details other than being there for 2 years. How much was the winning bid? Are they actually gonna seperate the two courts with a curtain? How are they gonna stop crossover attendance?

If it is just divided by a curtain, are they going to let pep bands play? That would seem to be awfully distracting if a band was playing during a break in one game, while a team was shooting FTs in another.

I kinda get the feeling this is a test case with CUSA as a guinea pig for "The Star" with the goal to move on to bigger and better things...

Good thing is, most P5 need bigger arenas.

A 12K football arena could probably be configured for a 20K sngle-court basketball facility - big enough for a P5 tourney, early round NCAA, or NIT championship...

As long as the La Tech whiners are happy. That's all that matters.

Let's take the Star.

Content maybe, they still will complain that the tournaments only true home should be Bossier City.

The dividing curtain will be an excellent place to hang the sponsor logos.

That thought is why Sam Houston University is not the Sam Houston institute of Technology.
