Its what I said in my earlier post. It will be interesting to watch in the next few years to see if this tournament can grow. If put together right and executed right the 1st few seasons I think it might have a chance. If not then it will be like the CIT and CBI wth more and more teams saying no thanks.

Looks like WKU will be fighting out of the losers bracket. They will await the winner of the 1st game tomorrow between Alabama State vs GA State/UT Martin. At the moment GA State and UT Martin are tied at 4 in the bottom of the 4th inning.

Those that don't have softball in the AAC are Cincinnati, SMU, Temple and Tulane. From my memory only ECU and Houston really supported their softball programs. In 2013 Marshall had to go through UCF and ECU to get to the finals and beat Houston 3-2 in the finals. Wichita State will up them to 8 softball programs but historically WSU has always been middle of the pack to celler dweller in the MVC.

Besides CUSA with 3 in (LA Tech, FIU, Marshall) the only multi bid conference not in a P5 was the Sun Belt (ULL, Texas State).

You said the ACC has 11 and listed 10. You said the AAC has 7 and listed 6. You are seriously screwing with my OCD.

So, off to a hot start, huh? Just joking and jealous. Wish the Lady Golden Eagles were still playing.

Minnesota puts the nail in the coffin. 11-3 is the final. Tech meets either Alabama or Albany in the losers bracket. However, the last time we were in the tourney, we came out of the losers bracket to at least reach the regional championship game against A&M I think or TT. It's been awhile.

Make no mistake, Minnesota was out to make a statement today. Doesn't matter who the opponent was. We were just the unfortunate souls to be on the receiving end.

Alabama should be playing on the road, but the $EC robbed Minnesota. I wouldn't be surprised if Minnesota made it to the WCWS just from sheer pissed-off willpower.
