Liberty and JMU
It is an absolute no brainer that realignment needs to occur and it needs to happen with these two schools. When the POTUS releases your football schedule and you are sitting on a $1 billion endowment, it is just a matter of time before Liberty become extremely successful.

We've already had a sitting president discuss our football team's success on campus. (in 2009)

And maybe with Liberty and JMU, it makes financial sense for Richmond to move up and for VCU and GMU
to start football.

Nope. Never. There's a reason they had to go independent when Sun Belt was having to add CCU as a member. Don't want anything to do with that farce of a university.

JMU's cool though and I'd love to be in a conference with them.

It's been said before, but needs to be rehashed.

If this ever happens, we'd better fill up the rest of the conference with some decent basketball.

The only appeal of JMU for the rest of the CUSA is that they are near you guys and they have fantastic academics.

JMU is a teacher's and nurses school. They have hot, smart chicks. They have a great campus and an FBS-ready stadium. And they are driveable.

Can you remind me why FAU has appeal to CUSA? I seem to have forgotten.

And was has happened to our media payout since FAU joined the league? Not asking about potential, asking about dollars. 03-puke

Don't forget UTSA, UNT, and of course FIU. What a farce that was.

Indeed.
The CAA has no media payout at all. It is strictly an exposure contract.

Not sure why we would want to invite Liberty to the conference if they are willing to pay +$1M per game anyway

I'm betting it'll become a home and home during the years we don't get ECU on the schedule. So, this big payout is probably a one-time thing.

I agree on both counts.

This was indeed a unique situation. But guarantees at LU are certainly going to be part of our future for awhile.
