What does any of that have to do with us taking a buy game from a school that has yet to play a game as an FBS team? Selig said we wouldn't take buy games. And yet, here we are.

I love this as an away game that we can travel to via a day trip. Liberty gave us a heck of a game in Norfolk, and their fans will be amped. Religion and politics will always be controversial, but their fans traveled well to Norfolk, and their safety picked off two Heinicke passes in the end zone to kill drives.

As for the comments about disagreeing on emotional issues with respect, I could not agree more. Let's hope Wood is getting a big payday for this game, as we are getting a driveable away game. All good in my book.

I am very thankful and excited ODU will be LU's first FBS game. In my opinion it is good for both schools, and at least is an easy road game to attend. I am very impressed with the rise of ODU in it's first few years of FBS and can only hope Liberty can emulate that success. I went to an ODU game while stationed at Ft. Eustis and have followed the program for years. It is exciting football under Wilder. I even had my kids take some private baseball lessons with an old assistant ODU baseball coach and went to a couple basketball games. ODU is a great place. I hope I'll be able to attend the ODU game in 18 as it corresponds witht my return from Korea and my daughter will be attending her first year at LU.

As far as the Catholic poster who has had a poor experience with Protestants, we don't all hate Catholics. I am sorry you have been treated poorly. Folks I know neither treat Catholics, atheists, people of other faiths or beliefs poorly or disrespectfully.

I hope we can continue to play ODU in the future. It can be a good game for both schools. May you go 13-0 this year and 12-1 next.

But it ruins the away/home sequence we had with UVA and VTech. Now we're playing then both away in the same year, making it harder to win either of those games. As far as I can see, this move is a lose/lose/lose for us.

I think our team will be approved by then. 2017 will be a measuring stick for ODU football.

My bad. I read your post wrong. Didn't notice the h/h had a question mark after it. I thought you were proclaiming that there should be no home and home against a team like Liberty.

All I will say is that these look like fun games to attend. However, These types of schedules are what get coaches fired if they don't start recruiting better. We have not done well against mid level FBS programs in the past.
