But to get a bunch of teams to move around a bunch of games for the following year then you're going to have to open your wallet, they were in a position to do that. We were in a position to be taken in by an FBS conference so we didn't face the problems they are now. I wouldn't want to switch positions with them. Say what you want about CUSA, it's better than FBS Independence and the Big South.
I absolutely agree that we were in a better position due to having a conference home. My question was about the comment "But then again we're not Liberty. We were a desirable add to an FBS conference".

Liberty's AD is entirely built on being able to make money from online programs and funnel it into athletics. They're building nice facilities but they're still miles behind us as far as an athletic department goes. Is that what you want to bet on when choosing conference mates. Have you seen their basketball program? Is that your first choice? Maybe you want me to say religion but truthfully that's just a small part of it.

Miles behind? How so? Any objective measurements here? Are we talking the objective wins/losses of major programs, or the athletic department as a whole?

Really? You're questioning this? Any measurement you want.

Careful what you wish for.

What's the point of being so cryptic? Either you have a bunch of evidence that proves Liberty has been the better performing AD or you dont.

We all know that Liberty has a high ceiling due to their financial freedom. Execution will dictate whether they fulfill that potential or not.

But if you were a conference mate of the Sun Belt you would have. And wisely you did not.
