Studio C is actually pretty good. I'd say it's on the level of a cookie-cutter 80s sitcom in terms of how funny it is, the lack of edge.

My Air Force brat daughter picked it up from an Air Force brat friend. I suspect BYUtv might have a decent-sized non-Mormon conservative-religious audience. People may not like the theology, but if you want clean, middle-of-the-road network-style TV, it does the job.

I've heard it's a big world wide network but I can't find it in most hotels in Texas, Oklahoma and New Mexico for some reason. Is it in the lineup next to the CBN's and TBN's etc?

So Liberty joins A10 after it loses its 4 best schools? Where are those 4 going and why?

I don't know. I was trying to convince my daughter that Studio C was an actual TV show, and not just a Youtube "broadcast" like DanTDM or PewDeePie etc, and I couldn't find BYUtv on our cable package. Then we dumped cable and went to Netflix anyway....

I don't have cable but I travel a lot and I can't find this BYU channel on hotel tv's. I was in Chicago for a meeting and looked for it and no dice either. BYU fans on here talk about the BYU network, but I don't ever see it. Unfortunately, I did run across the LHN...very unfortunately. I do occasionally turn on Christian TV because I do like Joel Osteen for positive motivation... occasionally....

I really, really, really, don't see LU in the Atlantic 10. There are private schools in the A-10, and some (mildly) religious schools....but LU would be a VERY incongruent fit with the A-10.

Many of the A-10 schools are also VERY wealthy (SIX of them have more money than Temple, and 10 of them have more on an endowment to student basis). They also don't need to finance FBS football either, so their budgets aren't really that stressed.

---

The A-10 faces NORTH and EAST. So much so that they reportedly were uninterested in adding Wichita State. LU faces SOUTH and WEST. The A-10 only has a school that happens to play FBS football because they were already in the league when they moved up. Many of our members think that one of the best things that happened to us was when the CAA stole our FCS conference from us.

Other than UMass, there's no interest in any of our teams to move up. And we like it that way. Richmond is never moving up. URI is barely competitive in FCS scholarship football. Fordham is never moving up (and quite frankly - most of our members see them as a huge mistake). Davidson, Duquesne, and Dayton are really 'fake FCS schools'. Even the teams in our league that play football....other than perhaps UMass...would be a hard no on any team that is looking to whipsaw our conference around for FBS football.

And that's before you get to the non-football schools, ALL of whom are even more opposed to FBS schools in the league.

And in the A-10, its all about basketball. LU's performance in men's basketball has been really poor.

The A-10 already has THREE schools in Virginia and another within eyeshot of it.

If there was an opening in the A-10, there would be a LONG line of teams wanting to join even a picked over A-10. Siena, Manhattan, Hofstra, JMU would be ahead of LU. So would College of Charleston, UNCW, Valpo, Boston Univ., Northeastern, etc.

---

Maybe LU can join the AAC when Temple gets kicked out of another conference.....LOL.

Sunbelt or CUSA depending in the next realignment wave. Don't think the MAC is an option as it looks like they will remain a bus league at 12 after the Temple / UMASS experiment into the Mid - Atlantic / NE area for expansion. If the MAC and JMU started talking again the MAC might bring in Liberty as a travel partner, however posters on the MAC board really think the MAC is done with expansion going forward. The same could be said with Liberty with the Sunbelt if JMU and the Sunbelt talks heated up again. 04-cheers

Serious question. Don't think they'd add any value or just don't like them or ?

As long as we're making up theoretical conferences, I really like the potential for one made up of the SB and CUSA schools from the Virginias and Carolinas, WKU+MTSU, Liberty, and UMass as a football affiliate. Room for JMU and Delaware if they want to jump up. Call it the Appalachian Range Conference, abbreviated down to The ARC, or something.
