Why would he care about Coach Mo's 'vision'? He's a rental for 1 season and done.

Is 'warmer weather' going to increase his averages? Seems like a stretch. With slight odds, I'd bet his final season numbers at ECU will be the same, or worse, than his final year at EMU.

Let's revisit in December. 03-thumbsup

Wish him well, but you know what they say..............the grass isn't always greener.

Clever

There are lots of open air stadiums in the NFL. And they always play in December.

No offense, but very little to get excited about here. 6', 51.8% completion rate, offers from Morehouse and Tennessee State. And he's 'taking his time to decide'........like he has better offers........haha.

We've still got a LONG way to go in recruiting!

Dear emu79,
I don't know what coaches are looking for in a particular player, but maybe they are looking for converting to a receiver, or a defensive back. On the other hand, maybe the coaches aren't sure of the back-ups for Roback.

Sounds like an insurance policy. Gotta have it. Hope you never use it.

I'm more interested in the young QBs on the roster. Hope that we get to see one of them play a little this year. With Roback and the young talent it's doubtful that Glass would ever play. Not sure why he would even consider EMU, unless it's just the D1 label that he really wants.

We have an odd situation at QB with a star senior but zero experience behind him.

Steibeling will be a redshirt frosh and will be with two true frosh.

Fans would like Grissom to get minutes as a true frosh but that is risky.

Not sure what makes more sense having a redshirt frosh or JUCO behind a senior.

IF we go for Glass that would give us 5 QBs which is a lot, even if one or two redshirt in 2017.

With the 2017 signing class, Toledo has 7 QB's.

Hoping Stiebeling makes enough progress during the summer that he's ready to assume the backup role. Coaches can't whiff on Stiebeling like they did on Pensyl.

Only want Grissom to play if he's indeed ready, and mature beyond his years, when he reports to practice in a few weeks. Even if he's ready, it'll probably be more in a wildcat/zone read role, to spell Roback and keep the defense off balance. Can't expect a true frosh to come into the MAC and read defenses and throw bullets.

If he's not ready, redshirt him, and give Stiebeling the mop up reps in any games we're comfortably in the lead (assuming there are any).

Who knows, maybe this Hutchinson kid is the surprise of camp. Need all 3 of these guys to be legit MAC talent, with Roback on his way out.

Interesting they have Bogan listed as a DB and not a WR.

IF CC is looking at a JUCO QB with all the new QBs coming aboard, maybe they aren't sure if Stiebling is the answer.

Signing (trying?) a JUCO QB this late? Strange???

Unfortunately, would have to agree.

Wouldn't have this problem if our other Juco QB with experience, and MAC talent, hadn't gotten himself booted.

Yep, Porter was the perfect back up to Roback. It was his job for 2017 and kids in 2018.

I think folks on these boards expect too much of true frosh QBs. Best to have experience, even if it is JUCO.

EDIT: My rule of thumb: Redshirt frosh QBs, OL, DL, TE. Positions best able to play as true frosh: RB and WR.

I am hoping they will announce any supplemental signings, grad transfers etc. prior to June 22. I am only aware of one verbal after the official signing day and that is Dakota Ramsey an offensive lineman.
