University leadership should make counter demands to the "activists". For example - "If you pull a stunt like this again, you will received 1) Tear Gas, 2) Arrest with the intent of the university to prosecute thru the criminal justice system and 3) Expulsion.

Remember the whole don't negotiate with terrorist line?

And the first 3 things are so trivial. A lounge, colors, keeping open a segregated dormitory?
