It's fine though that's how we like it.

No one is disrespecting you or Bakersfield. Believe me, I get it, I'm a lopes fan and have been on this board for a few years. Like the great Ric Flair said "To be the man, you gotta beat the man, whooooo". And the man right now is NMSU. They have consistently dominated the new WAC. Other schools are catching up.
I wouldn't go far as to say NMSU has dominated. NMSU has lost to every one of the new WAC teams since they joined with the exception of UTRGV. Yes, we even lost to Chicago State. Utah Valley trounced us at home this year and both Bakersfield and Grand Canyon have beat us the last two years. I guess we have dominated the WAC tourney over the years and I guess that what really counts. NMSU has won more WAC tourney's than any other school ever in the WAC. We were even winning them when Brillo's precious Nevada was there and Utah State. Next year IMO the WAC is up for grabs. Did you guys know Bakersfield made a deep NIT run last year?05-stirthepot

Oh, I'd agree to say the Ags have pretty well dominated...as they should have, playing with most of the larger MWC programs. You guys were the established school with all us newbies arriving.

Don't know if I'm more excited to see a) how Aggie fans react to that one, or b) how much longer CP let's this go before moving it to timeout... errr... the penalty box... errr... smack talk!

Any basketball junkie knows going to the Big Dance far outweighs the NIT, a tourney no one really cares about. Even losing 1st round better than NIT victories. Did you cry when Bakersfield lost the WAC tourney this year? Oh yeah, if it wasn't for the 4 OT game vs. Utah Valley it's a fact they would have beat NMSU in the WAC tourney championship game. I'm just wondering why Bakersfield allowed that 4 OT game to even happen since they are so awesome? Get ready for a Clarity hissy fit rant now. BTW, if you read my post have never said or implied that NMSU is the best team in the world unlike your never ending rants about CSUB. Go purple floor high school gym!03-thumbsup

NCAA Tourney=Smoking hot super model

NIT=Fat chick with acne and a missing front tooth

Would you rather get to 1st base with the smoking hot super model or get to 3rd base with the disgusting fat chick anyone could nail? Congrats on your success in the fat chick with acne tournament Clarity.

True about the NCAA tourney being the more prestigious. And for more established schools, yes, no really big deal...perhaps. However, a school like CSUB got pretty decent attention from making it to MSG this year and several games on TV. In fact, several WAC schools got some good press here and there in winning various lesser tournament games. So, we DID get a nice bump from that this year.

Relax, Dancing. You are so worked up over Clarity that you forgot purple is GCU's color. Our court is blue.

Currently mobile....away from the house or on "the throne."

BTW Runner, I love you, and I watched every NIT CSUB game and was cheering for them. Anytime WAC teams do something good I'm in their corner. As long as they are not playing NMSU I'm in their corner. Anyway, Boise States football field, CSUBs basketball court...both disgusting.Getting to the Final 4 in the NIT is an amazing accomplishment and hopefully a stepping stone for your program. Basketball junkies do care about the NIT. The fact is, most do not care.

...... 😮

I think you were right previously. Nobody/no junkies care (or rather cares nearly as much) if its an established program. But for Cinderellas (which the 'Runners were this year..to an extent) it worked out splendidly. And, we all know how America loves its Cinderellas each March. We arguably received much more attention than if we were a one-and-done NCAA entrant.

Why, it will just be replaced by another similar topic which will be thread-jacked. 😀
We just need to get it back on topic i guess.

Clarity seems to get better info than I on this topic, so I'll pipe down here.

Back to topic. All NMSU knows is we have 4 games a year home and away with UNM and Utep and I think we have a home games vs. Colorado State. Anyone else know what other non conference teams the Aggies will be playing?
