Easy! I don't want that guy associated with UC for any reason. Ironically, I've felt like that for several years. 03-lmfao

Maybe I'm reading too much into it but this seems like a slap in our collective faces. Mothball man was forced out. In his mind, he got the shaft and negotiated his terms to step down to pursue other opportunities. Maybe he was already signed up to do this golf charity event. Fine, just don't wear the gear of our university and the employer that fired you. I want nothing more to do with the guy that took just four years to muck up a good program and alienated a lot of folks along the way.

So so so confused. This could not have been UC's decision, right?.....right?

That's David Crowder. He's actually a musician from Texas, but he sings about Jesus instead of strip clubs, lady parts, and alcohol.

It may have been Baylor's attempt to appear wholesome, if only for a fleeting second.

Hahaha. I just said out loud, "Is that Crowder?". One of the best concerts I've ever been to. Seen him a few times.

Well by gum!

Quote:T_______ T________ ready to golf, not govern
Tom Groeschen , tgroeschen@enquirer.com 3:21 p.m. ET April 27, 2017

T_______ T_______ will not be governing in the near future, but he will be golfing.

Former University of Cincinnati football coach T_______ will join former UC quarterback Brendon Kay in the 11th annual Chick-Fil-A Peach Bowl Challenge charity golf tournament, which runs April 30 to May 3 at the Reynolds Plantation resort on Lake Oconee outside Atlanta.

T_______ recently considered a run for the 2018 Alabama Republican nomination for governor, but said this week that he would not pursue a campaign. T_______ spent 1999-2008 as head football coach at Auburn, intrastate rival of the Alabama Crimson Tide.

In the golf tournament, T_______ and Kay will be paired against former Florida/South Carolina coach Steve Spurrier and former Florida/NFL quarterback Shane Matthews. T_______ resigned as UC coach this past December, but he and Kay are listed under the UC banner for the golf tournament. Spurrier and Matthews are listed as the Florida representatives. Most matchups are based on current or former school affiliations. T_______ charity is the T_______ T_______ Foundation, which assists military veterans and their families.

Other notable competitors will include Clemson coach Dabo Swinney, Alabama coach Nick Saban, Auburn coach Gus Malzahn and North Carolina basketball coach Roy Williams.

Competing teams will play a two-man scramble format over 18 holes using confirmed handicap adjustments. All participating teams will receive a portion of the $630,000 total purse.

T_______ FUTURE: The 62-year-old T_______ told the Montgomery Advertiser this week that he intends to pursue TV and radio opportunities in the short term. T_______ also said he was open to a role in college athletics as a coach or administrator.

“I may get back into coaching," T_______ said. "Who knows? I think I’d rather stay in athletics in some form either by coaching or being an athletics director or something like that. Athletics, especially at the college level, is what I know best.”

Please go away

If Tommy Tuberville wants to be a billboard for us, great. Seems to be all he's good for, being just a name and all.

$2 million or so more and he can about repay what he soaked up from athletics trough just last year.

That's a lot of charity golf tournaments. Glad he'll have the time.

Get a grip. While I was never enamored with CTT, he did not embarrass the university and the student athletes did not run amok. No sex scandals, improper payments, unethical behavior etc etc.

While the football record was not to our liking, the man did his best. He represented the University the correct way, an he is still giving back.

I agree with much of what you wrote, and I do appreciate that he ran a clean program. I don't, however, agree that he did his best. He did enough to collect a paycheck.

that's total BS

he is a clown, he ran this thing into the ground

the players' comments about the difference in the old coach and the new coach, if you have read them, tell you all you need to know

His best is relative. I don't think he was that great of a coach to begin with. He needs top coordinators (which he did not have money for here). He was on his way out at Texas Tech. I think he tried his best, he just does not have the capabilities to put out a top team. The game has passed him by.

Suck it up buttercup. The guy is was and always will be known as a pox on the program.

As a head football coach at the great University of Cincinnati, wise beyond his tender years recently said, "there are no bad football teams, just bad leaders."

If a measure for a coach's success is that he didn't embarrass his employer and did the best he could then that is a pretty damn low bar. That should be a given for any coach. Kind of like you don't show up for work habitually late. Mothball Man had been on a downward trajectory since his Texas Tech days. The Headset Dreamer cost our university a lot more than just his contract and early retirement severance. I also seem to remember his post game yelling at a fan about going to hell and getting a job. I can't believe there are still a few folks defending this guy.

I consider his rant directed to a fan to be embarrassing!
