I'd like to agree with you but right now he's not really in the conversation for best 3B in the NL. He's going to need a huge June to catch either of those guys (not to mention Arenado and Lamb) by the break. By year's end? Anything can happen but to have "better numbers" he's going to have to have a stellar second half, and he's probably going to need some of those guys in front of him to struggle.

He just needs Joe Ross to be the starter the rest of the way. Rendon is 9 for 10, with 5 home runs and 15 RBIs in Ross's last 2 starts.

And again in the Thursday matinee. Solo shot. Ant now has 9 HRs this season.

And a solo shot in the 5th this afternoon to give the Nats a 1-0 lead. Since his breakout game on April 30 (6-6, 3 HR, 10 RBI) and not including todays' ongoing game, he's hitting .338 with 8 HR and 26 RBI in 21 games.
