She did get the APR in good shape. Know many fans don't care, but we were very close to getting hit by the NCAA after Wendy's departure.

This hire by Wilmington is a lot like our hire of JJ. Both coaches were in serious jeopardy of losing their jobs in the near future, and both were bailed out by another school.

JJ's overall body of work at AU was good enough that I don't think a 10-20 season put his job in jeopardy. Could be wrong, but by their standards, he did a lot of good there.

Brutal comparison. JJ had a ton of success in the ACC and got American to the NCAA Tournament.

Yeah. I don't see it paralleling to Jones. But I do see the exit very parallel to Wendy's. Except KB didn't run to the Pilot to try to win public favor on an employment deal. So I happen to view her silent negotiations with UNCW as professional.

KB will improve UNCW just by her ability to recruit. Unfortunately, it won't be by much.

Was there ever any indication his job was in jeopardy?

Very valid point, but beyond that her tenure has left a great deal to be desired. I had women's tickets since 1987 and dropped them almost two seasons ago, because I could not stand to watch her in game coaching. TURRRIBBLLLLE!!!

I will give you American, although I think he was heading in the wrong direction there. But " a ton of success in the ACC" is a stretch at best. And, yes, I realize he took a team to the elite 8 early in his tenure there.

Carver is playing the 4 and came here as a freshman. And if you aren't counting him, (which is weird but whatever) you need to add freshman as a qualifier in that sentence. Otherwise, you are overlooking Porter, Brandan Stith, Painter, Arledge, Biberaj and Vassor.
