Is this common knowledge? I hadn't heard it before now. Might explain why Tubby acted the way he did last season: "If these Yahoos are going to dictate my staff to me, I'll show them that ish won't work for me. I'm the coach, and that's what they are going to pay me to do, but on my terms."

It's known knowledge

Never made sense to me. You are getting a potential AA COLLEGE (NBA another story) player and another good player; treat the man with respect and maybe you get the two younger sons. His main job would be to learn the college game, keep both his sons in line and off social media (I saw some stuff that would have blown up last year if not very quickly deleted) and recruit Memphis kids.

What's so bad about that? Good deal for both parties.

Saul was threatened.

I thought the drama would cease when Opie left. I didn’t think Tubby would insist on Saul taking Keelon’s position after Bowden told him he would keep it. I also didn’t think we would once again be subjected to multiple transfers in a single season, and this was season #1. Alas so much for a silky smooth transition.

It is too early to tell but it’s quite possible we’ve jumped out of the frying pan into the fire.

Then Tubbs comes in and has to deal with that messy situation for his entire first season. He came to the realization that the only way was to cut them all loose. The Lawson's were a cancer that had spread into the entire team. Anyone who's ever been a part of team sports understands that one star player being catered to but who also has a "me first" or "Ima get mine" attitude willl ultimately kill a team culture to the point of being unrepairable. This is why a 4 or 5 year window often closes pretty fast on coaches if they can't fix the problems. Tubbs made it so that they had no choice but to walk after year one because he understands this. Now, with year one recruiting wasted, and year 2 recruiting being nothing but patch work, can Tubbs use year 3 to ensure a successful recruiting trail? Troubling times for tiger fans.

If Tubbs can't do this, the next coach will take a minimum of 5 years to turn it around. So we are staring at a 2010-2022+ Window of being irrelevant. And I don't want to even imagine what happens if the next coach is a lemon.

Thank you Josh. We'll feel the effect of you being here for a while. Josh's inexperience was a major cancer cell within the tiger program. He was removed but the cancer still remains. His players were removed. Tubbs is in the process of trying to remove it all,but it may be too late. I hope I'm wrong.

Josh was forced to hire Keelon

He didn't want to

You would think some of these so called Tiger fans would have remembered that.
