I couldn't tell solo if he was dumping Sling as well... if he's dumping all three, his numbers are right.. he's only paying about $8 more..

Which to some people I can understand isn't much... but to others every little bit counts.

(HEll, my biggest bills not counting house note are cell-phones.. I'd love to find a way to "Cord cut" those :) )

That's kind of where I am at as well.

Me too. I don't have the time to figure this crap out..

I got lucky. Us Cellular is in my region and they had a 6GB plan for $30 that I'm grandfathered into. After that it's $20 per line. My wife and I can get quality coverage for $70 and then whatever we want to pay to finance a new phone. They just had a new deal where we traded in iPhones and got free galaxy 8s. So after taxes and insurance and a tablet we pay little over $100 a month

What I dismiss is the attitude of some -- not necessarily you, so I apologize if my response seemed excessive -- towards the "great injustice" being done to them by cable, and how cord cutting will save the world.

Fair enough. I'm really not here to preach the gospel of roku - it's not for everybody. I just didn't want folks thinking it was too complicated or didn't deliver some value (if the viewing habits fit the content available).

04-cheers

I use Roku. I think it's a great hardware platform, and I've very rarely had a disappointing experience using it to stream Netflix, HBO Now, or Showtime (for some reason they decided to brand the standalone app as simply "Showtime", while the app that requires a cable subscription login is branded "Showtime Anytime") via my Comcast cable internet service.
