Seems like a step back to take UN-Omaha.

Murray State or Valparaiso would be decent additions for the MVC. Definitely won't help the sting of losing Wichita State though...

Omaha, Valpo and Murray sounds like the MVC is fractured collectively as to where they want to take the conference.

Definitely not too forward thinking. Really the opposite of what Benson did with the Belt.

He brought in rising programs like App St and GaSo. Coastal with untapped potential. UTA to bring in a big market. Its really a much better FB conference than it was.

MVC should have been more forward thinking and merged with the MAC in the early 90's to sponsor FBS football.

The MVC by expanding won't get better with the 3 mentioned. At best it will be able to tread water.

There is no Wichita caliber replacement for Wichita available to the MVC.
The Valley will step backwards in power ratings and respect no matter who they add. The question for them is what is the best thing they can make the Valley into now?
Stick at 9, go to 10 with a school that fits the membership but doesn't replace what is lost? Go to 12 try to help the brand by getting the brand in more places and maybe get some benefits from divisional play?

Kittonhead--There is no "rising program" that they can get.

I guess if the MVC sponsored hockey, this would be a no-brainer.

maybe this will get mostate motivated to start courting the sbc. I have all along thought they would be a good add and bring back nmsu for all sports. an east/west alignment would make us solid for the long haul.

I wouldn't want NMSU back in the Sun Belt unless they did some investing in their football.

Give them an invite means a good home for basketball and baseball. Football will get better.

Saw the other day report saying Valpo is the strong favorite and doesn't appear MVC will extend any other invites
