Because I've seen so many opposing fans at our games since we got into the American.

Outside of Louisville and WVU, the same sarcasm could have been applied to the Big East.

Pittsburgh brought a pretty large contingent of fans as well. That's 3 more than 0.

You're thinking of the Steelers. Pitt brought dozens (literally) the last time they played at Nippert.

Dis is true.. have a buddy who was a Pitt student at the time.. he couldn't get info from the Pitt AD about how to get tickets.. so I had to bring him with me using my wifes ticket. He was so excited when he saw 1 car of Pitt people tailgating.. not a huge contingent at all..

Yeah Pitt brought hundreds tops - and that is being generous. Their travelling fans were a nonfactor. We are still at 2, not 3.

Rest assured that the Thundering Herd will bring thousands. Nippert will sell out that game.

I'm still convinced that Marshall game in '07 was the highest attendance we've ever had. There was absolutely no room to move in the Student Section and they brought a ton of fans from Huntington. That game was why the student ticket policy was created...They estimated over 10,000 students were at that game.

The Houston and BYU games were particularly bad. I think it was more because we should have won both games.
