UAB Football Topics on XM Radio Lately
Today, I was driving into work and listening to XM Radio College Sports Channel with Tom Luginbill and some other guy. One of the questions that came up today was:

"what are the realistic expectations for Bill Clark and UAB Football over the next two years?" Tom's answer was bowl eligibility will happen sooner rather than later. He also said UAB should be at the level of South Alabama in relation to success if not only for the fact that Bill Clark knows the area better than anyone and the geographic location in relation to talent pool in the state of Alabama and other bordering states. He went on to also mention if we could somehow get a 25,000 seat on campus stadium then we would absolutely explode. That brought up the point that the city of Birmingham in general is lacking facilities for sporting events and Birmingham is such a great city it shouldn't take a back seat to Raleigh and Nashville for sporting events. Good discussion on a national show!

Glad we're getting talked about on the national level. Thanks for sharing. I wonder what our media attention will be like on September 2nd?

the game won;t be televised, but we should get PLENTY of highlight action on national show....provided we give them something to highlight. I expect lots of attendance discussion...

In the overall scheme of things, does it really matter if we are on college gameday?

Sure the segment will be great, but the actual event will be much greater.

does it matter? Sure, especially when you are trying to become a national brand. The only way that happens is getting in front of a national audience. So, yes it does matter.

I think that was a Raycom crew. UAB News/ UAB Magazine is filming a segment with Clark today.
