EMU - NFL Draft
Increasing buzz about Wylie getting drafted, along with POC. Perhaps not being drafted and picking the best free agent opportunity might be a better option for these two.

In any case I see a few of the fellas getting camp opportunities.

Comments?

Wylie REALLY helped his draft prospects with his Pro Day. Definitely better to get drafted vs. free agent. Primarily because of the $$, but also psychologically.

Hopefully they both get drafted, and possibly Gardner and Pace get their shots as free agents.

Looking forward to hearing about Jackson getting a new opportunity with the Browns this year as well.

Think we'll see Wylie, Gardner, and O'Connor in camps. Unfortunately don't see any of them getting drafted.

Good guess based on current projections. This is a very weak OL draft though, so I think Wylie's tremendous Pro Day gives him the most realistic shot as a late round pick.

These NFL guys love their combine numbers!

I wonder if Gardner could drop some weight and try for a TE spot?

Weren't hands and weight part of the reason he converted to LT?

Not really, it's because there was an All-MAC TE in from of him on depth chart.

Athletic for an OT, unathletic for an NFL TE. Better off getting bigger and stronger and trying to make it as an OT. Very deep TE draft......very shallow OL draft.

Only having played OT for 3 years could also be an advantage for him if a team thinks he can be a future contributor with another year or 2 of NFL level development.
