Orlando Sentinel Countdown
I know you have all been waiting breathlessly for this, and I apologize for the slight delay in getting started, but here is the list to date.

130. UAB
129. Texas State
128. Buffalo
127. New Mexico State
126. Charlotte
125. UMASS
124. GA State
123. Fresno State

So -- we already have both the East and the West represented in the bottom five. So who's next for C-USA? I suspect from the West it could be UTEP or Rice. From the East it could be FAU, FIU or even Marshall. I'm thinking it will be UTEP. Whichever it is that is next, I'm afraid we are likely to see two to three more of our conference mates in the next ten to twelve picks.

It is profound to see UAB returning to the countdown, especially after that dark day years ago.

Charlotte at 126 is laughable but not unexpected from the OS.

Fans of nearly every team in the bottom third will likely say the same.

Just for posterity, could someone post last year's CUSA preseason ranking from the Sentinel with actual records from 2016 season?

This has been the only pre season ranking high on WKU that proved to be right in the long run, anxious to see if any or how much drop off this seasons ranking will be...

I would say that in general, regardless of where ranked, more fans than not view their team as underrated in the offseason, there are exceptions of course.

My bold prediction of the year is that UAB will do better than finish in last place in the FBS

Know North Texas year was not the best, but to be projected at 127 and end up making a bowl is nice...hipe the boys can improve again this year

I feel like everyone is putting them there just because they have no earthly idea what UAB is gonna be like next year.

Techdawg, that may well be the most accurate statement I have read on this forum today.
