The Miami Beach Bowl is going away from Marlins Park, per @McMurphyESPN. It is likely headed to Frisco, TX.

Just looked on line-- doesn't that facility only seat 12,000 people?

Sounds like the place where FCS had their championships for a few years

THe FCS championship game is still held at that stadium. Holds a little over 20k for football.

Its neat for HS football. I've been there and its okay. I was actually pretty disappointed. For a bowl game between 2 G5 teams, it could be a decent fit but I bet its where FC Dallas play. Actually MLS stadiums could be the future homes of many smaller bowl games. Since its off-season for MLS, you wont run into any conflict or awkward paint on the grass from another team which looks tacky.

Dallas already has multiple bowl games, and it is not any kind of attractive destination.

Let someone else have a game.

Agreed. Boise would be a much better destination for a second bowl.

Frisco is a great place for a bowl game. Clean and safe for the fans with a lot of new hotels and restaurants opening up all of the time. Also not far from DFW airport for fans flying in to the game.

It certainly helps the AAC's geographical bowl balance.

It's at least 25 miles away....factor in the awful traffic that can does and has happened. I don't like Dallas/FWor any of its "suburbs" at all....

Or Houston at BBVA or TDECU. What will this make, 4/5 bowls in DFW depending on the year?

Everyone that has gone to the FCS Championship games there have had nothing but good to say about the Venue and area.

That's the problem with DFW. They try to raise the status and profile of any place with 100,000 people instead of having any area of central importance. You could say that's Dallas but it has only a few more people than Fort Worth.

He's just saying he can't stand shuttling from area-to-area in DFW and all the hassle that comes with it.
