I signed with the school in '83 and have fully supported all sports ever since. That's why I have a hard time with "football only", "basketball only", and fans supporting multiple schools depending on the sport. It's your money - do what you want - just doesn't make sense to me.

I know we've picked up a lot of bandwagoners in hoops due to the success, but they are also usually quick to jump off in times like now.

The biggest difference I see is those of you who have only supported basketball haven't been hardened like us fans who also support football. We know what tough times are. You are not even close.

I have been going to basketball and football games for years. I will continue going to both win or loose but people in this town want support a loosing team.

I have Tn. friends that would pull for us in basketball but not football. They would go to Memphis basketball games but not football. They are doing the opposite now. It is easy to pull for a winner but a true fan will continue going to the games even during the hard times.

I was recruited out high school to play football. The first thing the recruit does is look up into the stands to see if there is a crowd and if stands are empty. The will think twice about going to that school. So the fans that stop going to games to get a coached fired. They don't understand that they are just as much the problem as the coach when it comes to recruiting top athletes. It is hard to go to games when your loosing but the coach will be fired and if the fans continue to go to the games. It shows the recruits that you are still behind the program because the recruit wants to play in front of big crowds.

For all you Tiger fans that aren't going to buy seasons basketball tickets. I will see you at the games when the Tigers start winning.

Have faith. The basketball program will be back. Win or loose I will be at the games. Go Tigers!

I endorse this attitude.
