The new arena is really cool and he now has a level playing field to recruit better players

All said, I'm still very much in support of Coach Smith. I think he's going to turn it around now that the cancers are removed.

I agree about the Lawsons - not so much about Markel. If Kennedy was willing to take time to recruit him, Tubby could have taken time to try and retain him.

Why, he's been on the team 3 years, he knows what the gig is. He should have been helping to recruit, not wanting to be fluffed.

No, you hit an all time low when you hired tubby. Andy Kennedy ain't all that but he's a damn coaching genius when compared to tubby.

Wow.

such snobbery.

yeah he's a total dillweed

His team didn't make the NIT this year.

Agreed.

Opie must have set a NCAA record removing so-called cancers to the point he couldn’t even sniff the NIT.

Should also be interesting to see how Tubby’s team recovery goes now that it has been deemed cancer free.

Opie must have set a NCAA record removing co-called cancers to the point he couldn’t even sniff the NIT.

Gary Parish would be disappointed in line one. But I liked it!

I think it will be a strong recovery. A tough 2017-2018, much better 2018-2019, NCAA tourney the next..

What’s up Joe1!

I corrected the typo but yeah, Parish is probably giving me the evil-eye right now, lol.

It has become much more difficult to predict the upcoming season and the next 2 & 3 may as well be light years away.

There are too many variables these days that can completely change the yearly anticipated makeup of a team, making predictions harder. At least it is for me.

Agreed. But I think Tubby is now fully engaged. I don't know he wasn't before, but it appears he is now. With his coaching experience, our resources, etc, I think he'll start signing kids that will lead to winning.

If we continue missing the ncaa, Tubby will eventually be given his walking papers. I feel really good about our future.

I think almost all agree that next year will be tough. We'll see who can play next year. Hopefully, Tubby will sign another PG and a big. Darrington is very doubtful at the moment and Hardy will be tough to get. Both look like very good players.

I think he keeps at least one scholarship. We'll have Rivers. I say two more leave. I think we have a great shot at Lomax.
