Houston is losing their second best scorer due to graduation could be an interesting game.

RE: 2017-18 Schedule
Not a bad field at all for a mid tier tournament. Bet Overton would die for a matchup against Wake. Wake, Houston and Colorado are all better teams than us for sure. I can't see us winning this tournament but I think there could be some really good games. The only teams I would say we are definitely better than are Drake and Q. Liberty and Mercer are likely better than us but hard to say.

RE: 2017-18 Schedule
I think you should be able to add home games with Lafayette, Quinnipiac, and Rider.
It seems like we owe LaSalle an away game since we have had two at home and one away since the series resumed.
I would think Penn will stay on as well given the relationship between Spiker and Donahue. I'm not sure Spiker will be as adamant as Bru was about home and away though.
We have been going home and away with St. Joes for a while. Hopefully it would continue but with Bru leaving I guess it is not a sure thing. It would be our turn to go there if it continues.

I'm not sure who updates this page, but it's a pretty good resource for getting schedule information throughout the off-season. They list Penn as a home game on a date TBA.

In 14-15, we also played them at home which is why we should owe them an away game in 17-18

Lock in a game at the Tom vs. LaSalle on Thursday December 7th.

Also, the wikipedia page shows Drexel opening up at home on Friday November 10th vs. Bowling Green (insert massacre joke here).

The Bowling Green Cheesesteak Massacre has a certain je ne sais quoi.

Pepsin, the wiki editor, obviously has a connection to the athletic department. BGU was just added on Wednesday.

RE: 2017-18 Schedule
With it being year 2 of a big overhaul, the schedule to me is not super important this season. What is more important is to see how this team develops and improves. No reason to kill ourselves in the non conference. Play winnable games. I am also ok with the lower tournament we are in and picking up different opponents like a BGSU. As long as Penn and, really, St Joes are on the schedule, the rest doesnt seem to matter to me. Im interested to see how the team plays. Year 1 was a scramble for players. Year 2 is all about developing and getting your own guys there. Year 3 is really where you expect to see what the future really holds.

That would be a shame. Wiki is still showing UPenn on the schedule even though it does not have a confirmed date.

If I'm allowed to mix Women's Basketball Updates into this thread, it appears that the Lady Dragons will be heading to Happy Valley on Sunday November 12th.

With the addition of a road game at Loyola on 12/21, we've got 9 OOC's scheduled, including Penn which is TBA.

RE: 2017-18 Schedule
There's a game against Arcadia at home on 11/13. It's listed as an exhibition game, but it's after the regular season has already started.

Also a road game at NJIT on Saturday of Thanksgiving weekend at 4:00. This will be a slap in the face for Drexel as the game will be one of the first to be played in NJIT's new $100 million 3,500 seat arena.

Looks like it will be a very nice place to catch a game. 03-banghead
