Been that way with all our good PGs. Remember the years we didn't have one for one reason or another?

UAB has typically sucked in any year when we don't have a good point guard, at least since I've been a fan.

Norton is really good, and it's the understatement of the year that I'll be glad to have him back. I would be really surprised if the team didn't look a lot different next year. If they don't I think we can really start to point the finger at the problem..

Having Norton, Darling, and Lee on the perimeter to clear out the middle for Sullivan and Cokley will be so, so nice.

Actually i think there's a good chance Norton doesnt start or get top PG mins if Bryant comes as advertised.

I don't think Scootie will start over NN barring injury but make no mistake he is the real deal and will get major minutes. No nick and he is a four year starter. May even start some at the two early.

Hands down the best roster talent wise i can remember in years. Im talking better than 2010, 2009, and 2007.

Just imagine Norton truely running the second line as the 6th man, we could sit starters for a long period of time with less drop off having him in the game. I think we might see some the transitions points we had under XHCJH (2nd yr) with Bryant's speed and passing. The versatility of this roster as of now would make me hold the last scholarship for next year.

Chad and Ruck were gunners that year it was nice to watch at times.

Big Dee, I like your optimism about this year's roster and I hope you're right. I still think we need to use the last scholarship on another big though. Hopefully we'll get the big that visited a couple weeks ago.

Bryant is coming in with a lot of buzz, but what do you think about Gueye and Hurtado? Are there any minutes for Javien?

We really need a big man. If we got a big, that would really shore up our roster. Lee, Cokley, Sullivan, and Gueye at the 4/5 spots all year may be enough to win us a lot of games, but a real big could put us over the top.

Why do I feel that Big Dee is playing up the talent level, just so he can run down the coaching first time they lose a game?

Assuming Norton comes back healthy and Lee doesn't leave for the D-League, a lack of talent should not be an excuse for next year.

Yes, we should go undefeated. If we don't, it is the coach's fault.

It is highly unlikely that in November 2017, Nick Norton is going to be the same Nick Norton he was in March 2016. He has gone a year without playing and will take some time to get back in form. It is also possible that he lost something permanently due to the injury.

As bigs go i think the seniors start the juniors are capable backup and Mak is the truest G/F we've had.

Gueye i think (from coach's quotes) is headed to the perimeter, it could change if we dont get a big.

Hurtado could be the greatest PG in school history imho very very underrated. Should get good minutes but theyre not there with Nick and Zach.

J.D. at the moment is probably out but i think in the OOC schedule he should get some minutes. Something like

Cokley-Smallwood
Lee- Sullivan
Gueye-Lavender-Williams
Darling- Perry
The headed PG monster

Gueye fills in the post as fouls pick up leaving JD some minutes on the perimeter.
