RE: Qb Bolin from Louie transferring
It's amazing how these p5 transfers always fall through, specifically to lower tier P5s. Of the higher profile potential transfers the last 10years, they always go elsewhere and become a non event. Perhaps none of them would have worked out at NIU anyhow

Might have been more cons than pros on him coming to NIU. Brand new offense to learn, can't run, doesn't allow other QB's to develop. His talent would have been good, but there's no guarantee that he'd be ready to start by the fall. Like 7 says "Childers for Heisman". He has the biggest upside right now.

If Childers does break out, I wonder what happens to Hall. Childers is only a red-shirt freshman. I know that a big "if" but interesting to think about

If Childers pans out, does anybody care what happens to Hall? lol

After what happened the pst 2 years, hell yes! Can't have enough good quarterbacks. To learn from what happened before, I think we need to figure out a way to keep Hall happy as well. Maybe a running package like Lynch had under Harnish so both are able to get on the field.
Wayyyyyy to early to even talk about this, but it's the offseason so why not

Hall looked electric with the ball. If Childers somehow happens to be great, I'd consider a position change for Hall. Especially if there's not much improvement in his passing accuracy. This is all hyperbole, but fun.

Seems like every year there's one of these transfers that people think we will get and never happens. It's funny we can't beat out programs like Rutgers for a transfer player.

Bolin went for the name brand if Rutgers qualifies. If you look at his twitter crap he really likes himself a lot. Good luck to him but he is kind of a knob.

I'm sure other top G5 programs are content with not beating out low level P5 programs for players too.
NIU will never move to the next level or become an elite G5 by only beating out mostly 1-AA schools for players.

Pretty certain we won't lose to WIU this year.

Based on the QB stats vs the same opponent, maybe things worked out okay.

NIU is a lot better than Rutgers, Bolin with our offense does a lot better. How you can even compare the two teams considering the talent gap and game plan is hilarious, but go ahead.

There may be a gap but I don't think it's that big of one

We would not have beaten Nebraska with Graham and Jones even with the two pick sixes. Although in DPN's mind Graham and Jones are better than Santa and Huff.
