Marquette also just stole a bid. Denver will still make it to the tournament. Two of UNC, Duke, Notre Dame and Rutgers won't make this year. My guess is Notre Dame and Rutgers.

Notre Dame was a 4 seed.

4 ACC and 4 B1G teams made the field as I predicted.

So unfair for little guy. Duke gets lucky. They lost at ACC semi and should not be in the NCAA tournament.

Duke was last team in the field...Army was first team left out. Army was a good team...too bad for them.

tOSU won going away...their first Final Four

ND falling behind Denver bigly...8-1 late 2nd Q

ND getting no faceoffs and turning the ball over on offense.

Rambo hot early for the Terps...could be two B1G teams in the F4 to 0 for the ACC.

No ACC teams - I thought the ACC was the best conference in Lacrosse? Same UNC got a bid they didn't deserve

Well, Duke, the apparent "last team in," pasted Hopkins.

All but UNC got out of their first round games, but, nobody wants to say UNC was the "last in" team.

And, really, who knew Towson had it in them? Or the Buckeyes?

For the women championship it is BC vs Maryland

For the men it is Ohio State vs Maryland.

All you need is a giant who is big enough to play football but settle with lacrosse. I can see many lacrosse championships coming to Buckeyes.

Before joining Big East, Syracuse reached lacrosse final four 25 years straight? After joining the new formed Big East 10 years ago, did Syracuse make any final 4 appearance?

They won it all in 2013 if that counts. There are so many more colleges playing and investing real money in LAX than before and so many more youth programs that are out there developing players so that you won't see a Women's UConn Bball type of domination in LAX anymore like in the past which was just divided up between 3 teams (Princeton, Syracuse, UVA) who dominated the 90s to early 00s with others popping in at times as well.

Men's talent is certainly getting more spread out but women's hasn't gotten quite the depth just yet.

From Twitter

"So Maryland's senior class of 10 players just finished 89-3 (!!!!!!!!!!) with three national championships."

1st title since 1975 I believe. Something like 0-9 in title games in between. Been a long time coming.

In 1975 I was living not far from College Park (Bowie) and as an 11 year old I remember the Terps winning that national title. It HAS been a long time coming, many heartbreaks in between.

Congratulations Maryland !!! 02-13-banana02-13-banana02-13-banana
