After the mid-inning intermission, JP said he'd learned that the ump had ruled catcher's interference, which is why DiCaprio was not prepared for Canterino's throw. The interference is scored as an E2.

Hmm...ball tossed in dirt, C stopped it with foot. Guess it didn't matter then.

It is really sad to watch Rice Baseball get ***** slapped at home. Equally frustrating is to see that team in first while we are in last. Yes grasp that for a moment. Last place in Conference USA. Put that in your trophy case. Poor leadership, poor play. All I can say is wow........basement dwellers and cannon fodder.

We left when it was 8-4, so was unaware of final score til I got home.

Turned out to be the right move.

But we have new logos!!!!

One run game in T8 with 2 outs and nobody on. Owls end up losing by 11. Wow.

In getting the last 4 outs Rice gave up 7 walks, 3 singles, 4 doubles, a triple, a WP, and an SF. 20 batters came to the plate. No errors or home runs though!
