Some off season tidbits: I find it interesting that CBS-SN has scheduled some games this year that normally would be ESPN games. These are a few games of note that have been announced...more will be added later...

Oregon St at Colorado St-8/26
Boston College at NIU 9/1
Mississippi St at Louisiana Tech 9/1
Kentucky at Southern Miss 9/2
Vanderbilt at Middle Tenn St 9/2
Oregon at Wyoming 9/16
Stanford at San Diego St 9/16
BYU at Utah St 9/29
BYU at Hawaii 11/25


*Army and Navy also play their home games on CBS-SN. As well as the MWC. The AAC, SB and MAC play some select games sub licensed from ESPN. CUSA have some CBS-SN games as well. CBS-SN is getting much better games. If they get streaming available this year, it will be a pretty good line up of games.

I just read that North Carolina at Old Dominion (9/16) wasn't picked up by ESPN. CBS-SN could have picked the game up, but they too declined. Why?

According to the linked article the conference wanted ODU vs UNC moved to Thursday or Friday but ODU said no sense asking UNC to do that since they want their coaches recruiting in Norfolk on Friday. I would think that either BEIN or ASN will grab that one up.

It's a good regional matchup. UNC had a very good season and Old Dominion won 10 games and went to a bowl. Sucks for OD fans it's not on TV.

Ideally ASN would pick this up and it would be all over both states on local TV

It's very surprising to me that espn couldn't find a spot for this game among its 6 platforms and 4 time slots. At least an ESPN-News/Classic/U game.

CBS SN is picking up those games because they are mostly MW and CUSA home games.

You just found 9 games that I actually want to watch.

Good regional match ups. I'd watch BYU vs Utah st, Kentucky vs Southern Miss and Stanford vs San Diego St if I was flipping through the channels for sure..Definitely root for NIU to beat BC! I'd also watch UNC vs Old Dominion and root for OD to pull the upset! It's disappointing that they passed that one up...
