I have talked to a lot of my friends in the past month about the game in Florida. I have been asked, and they have been asked over and over, what happened at the UCF game. I keep getting this same question over and over, and the same response from everyone is overwhelming, that no one knows the answer that led to the downfall of the last part of the season. One thinks that there might have been a fight in the locker room after the game, another suggestion was that some players had disagreements with others, another one suggest that some players just didn't care anymore due to the arguing after the game. No matter how we can spin it, I believe just like all of my Tiger friends that I have, that something happened down there, but can't put a finger on it. It bothers them and me, even today, trying to figure it out.

Some also tell me that Tom Bowen knew about the situation after they got back to Memphis, but never stepped in to help. He let it go, and never talked to anyone about it. If Tom Bowen don't step in on these kind of situations, then how can he manage an AD dept? Something is fishy from that day till now, and as you can see, it hasn't gotten any better leading up till now. Bowen must do a better job, or get out as AD. I'm sorry, but he is starting to get on the bad side of some people that are Tiger fans.

Until you can tell us what, if anything, actually happened, how could we comment on this?

Why does the AD need to step into team business?

The AD gets involved in scraps or disagreements?

Well! That is just it, we don't know that anything happened, but a lot of Tiger fans are pointing to this game and the trip. Some are starting to hear different stories. A lot of questions with no answers. If something did happen, I feel like the AD should have least stepped in and calmed it down. You would think that it is the ADs job to help with situations like this. 04-cheers

To calm things down between the team or help. That would be my thinking.

Teams have issues all the time. Especially when you lose. It happens.. The AD rarely gets in the middle of these things..

Tubby alluded to something about commitment after those games in Florida...

But either way Markel was a different guy after those games and when you have 0 depth you need everyone to show up every night.

RE: What really happened down in Florida?
There was supposedly a curfew violation by some of the players. I believe Keon Clergeot took some of his teammates out on the town in his hometown. Coaches found out and went off on some of the players, some people got offended, teammates were on different sides (some with the coaches, some with the players) and it was never the same after the trip.
