Looks like he has decent size for the position. Former P5 recruit should make for a quality player. I'll always try to build up the trenches and quarterbacks. Welcome to Liberty, Seth!

RE: FBS TRANSFER: DE SETH NERNESS OF IOWA STATE
From ASEAOFRED.COM

Quote:Nerness, who is 6’4″ and 250 pounds, is originally from Southlake Christian Academy in Huntersville, North Carolina where he was a 3 star prospect coming out of high school. At Iowa State, he redshirted in 2015 and saw limited action in 2016. He chose Iowa State over offers from North Carolina, Louisville, Kansas State, West Virginia and others.

Yes. NCAA is treating it as a FBS to FBS transfer.

Call this the Marshall effect. When they were transitioning up they took a ton of FBS transfers that helped them kickstart their FBS existence. The rules were changed to limit the ad rush of talent to these newbie FBS programs.

As long as these fellas are good fits for the Liberty program and mission I welcome them from anywhere. I trust our coaching staff to make wise decisions.
