I don't think any of you are bad fans. Well, maybe the one dude who is an Ole Miss fan, masquerading as a Tiger fan, but I digress.

I just think, in this internet age, a lot of you are spoiled little snowflakes, that whine and moan if you don't get instant gratification, in this case from your team.

I was 100% behind Pastner until the last two years. And, I think Tubby deserves a chance. IF...this season is a complete train wreck, I'll come over to your side, likely. I just think you give him AT LEAST this next season and then judge the results.

What do you think is going to happen next season? You think he's going to win with freshmen and jucos? Markel, Martin, and ??, ??, ??.

He's got a disaster on his hands.

In today's development, we lost KJ. That's it. Dedric was assumed to be gone anyway.

I don't know what next year will bring. Once the final roster is in place, I'll have a more informed opinion. Then, after a few games in, I'll have an even better opinion.

Sorry, but I think Tubby deserves AT LEAST thru the end of this season.

The one thing I will agree with...Tubby should have cut Daddy Lawson loose last year, when he came in, and let the chips fall then!

If you like Tubby then you have to give him three more years from today. (He wasted this year - nothing was accomplished and with both Dedric and KJ leaving you only have a couple of returning players to 'build' on.)

His recruiting class for this year is not a rebuilding class (2-3 freshmen). He's panicked and is out there trying to grab a bunch of jucos.

A juco / grad transfer or two is fine to fill in for a recruiting miss, a transfer, or an injury but he's trying to basically build next year's team out of jucos now.

I really didn't like the Tubby hire when it happened and right now I like it even less than I did then.

What the hell is he doing other than screwing up the program?

I genuinely appreciate your ability to have a differing, yet reasonable opinion, without coming across as a condescending d-bag. You may be right. We'll see.

Hard to imagine it, personally.
Or other talented Memphis players. I mean, why would they?

Would not be surprised if Martin left along with Markel.
Then it would be all Tubby time players.

He can't even appease a man with the two kids on the team and possible a 3rd down the line. Tubby is hurting our relationship with a Memphis family and others are watching!

Gutless Rudd needs to do the right thing. If his contract isn't signed yet as reported two weeks ago. Get Rid of his ass. This isn't going to end well for us.

Tough words. Tubby is no garage!

This is a pattern from Keelon. Extort what you can and threaten to leave. My guess is that they finally had it with him. Dedric was gone anyway, and I could care less about KJ staying or going. We could use him next year, but he isn't a difference maker. I say good riddance...

Most of this team quit anyway. They only have a few kids I'd like to keep. We need tough kids with heart.

BINGO! The only loss is KJ. And, he's not an All-American. Dedric was likely already gone.

Plus, getting rid of Daddy is a net gain.

Yet, the "fire Tubby", the "end of Tiger basketball crowd" is already in beast mode.

It has been in beast mode since Tubby was hired. When you hire a dad to get his 2 sons. It means your going to have problems. And how did that happen. Pastner hired his dad to save his job. How did that work out him.Pastner isn't going to make that mistake again. I don't see another coach in his right mind offering a package deal for all three.

It actually worked out great for Josh. it gave him an extra year at Memphis which he was able to parlay into a coaching job in the ACC and making around $2.5 million a year for it...

I say give it to Penny now, but Tubby needs that retirement check. He is here for at least 3 more years. Thank you wine and cheesers!

You're a great poster. But Penny is just another mistake waiting to happen.

Yeah that's not what's happening here. Keelon isn't looking for a job apparently.

Duke, Kentucky, North Carolina. They'll be huge stars wherever they end up.

RE: Dedric and KJ to BOTH transfer. FML.
Keelon gets an AC job again - with a raise of about $100k. The boys have to sit out a year, then have 2 years left. So he's guaranteed this extra $100k for 2 more years before Chandler.

He was always going to get another raise when Chandler came along, but this is the one way he gets 2 years early. That's an extra $200k. Not bad, when he's realizing that the NBA money is not happening for these 2. They still get to go overseas when all's done, but Pop pockets an extra $200k.

Then he leverages Chandler and hope that leads to the really big bucks. But that was always going to happen.

I mean, it's a smart money move in a vacuum. Only way he gets that $200k.
