Rice Owls in MLB - 2017 edition
So four guys made Opening Day rosters for 2017 - is that right?

Rendon with the Nats
Cingrani with the Reds
Holt with the Red Sox
Duffey with the Twins

Am I missing anyone? Anyone else with a chance to make it to the bigs this season?

Chargois and Janish could get a cup of coffee or two depending on how things go with the Twins and Orioles.

Those are the four that Alan Shelby published in today's Rice Update.

Lucas Luetge had a good spring with the Reds and might be high on the list of potential call ups.

Rendon does not appear to be starting today; Drew at 3B. Is he injured?

Yep. From WaPo...
Chelsea Janes Wrote:Anthony Rendon was not in Dusty Baker’s Opening Day lineup, which was not exactly a surprise. Rendon fouled a ball off his calf last week and did not appear in a spring training game after that. But bruises do not usually require a week of rest, and Rendon’s history with seemingly minor injuries always sparks concern when issues pop up.

“He’s doing better. He’s doing a lot better,” Baker said. “He could have played probably if I wanted to push him, but I decided not to, because we’re off tomorrow.”
