That's very true. I hope it all works out for him. Just don't know where a scholarship is going to come from. I would love him at CSUB though obviously.

RE: WAC offseason transfer thread
Did a little digging and the immediate eligibility hardship waiver doesn't exist anymore. Instead if they have used their redshirt then they can apply for a 6th year of eligibility. Huggins hasn't used a redshirt. I couldn't find anything that says Hardship Waiver would override a schools blocked transfer list though. So Huggins will definitely have to sit out a year but will not lose any eligibility.

Huggins will be applying for a Family Hardship Waiver.

I didn't see anywhere in that article anything about a hardship waiver. Sources say he's transferring to a WCC school. I'm not upset and wouldn't care if he went to Bakersfield.

If its for a family hardship, I'm assuming he needs to move closer to home, so I'd figure LMU or Pepperdine perhaps.

Gonzaga: Yikes! If I were an Aggie fan, and he was going there, that would hurt the most of all.

Your joking I'm assuming, right?

I had a conversation with the author and he removed it because the hardship waiver doesn't exist with immediate eligibility anymore. Huggins has a redshirt to burn. But this is still family related I'm assuming, hope everything works out for him.

I doubt NMSU will allow him to transfer inside the conference. Sorry Bakersfield fans, he'll probably end up in the WCC.

I doubt they would but if it a serious family issue he's dealing with that would be very disturbing to not let him come home. Not sure where these WCC rumors are coming from anyway, haven't seen anything about that.

To go with all the rest of the unsubstantiated speculation on Huggins' landing spot, I saw someone else float Fresno St. Thoughts?

Would make sense Fresno is very close to Bakersfield.

I believe the WAC has a transfer rule as well about transferring inside the conference. He would have to sit out next season and pay his own way to attend Bakersfield. He'll have to attend another school in the area. There are plenty.

Yah, maybe Fresno. Lots of BW schools within about a two hour radius as well.

...also giving him a chance to play against MM & PW each at least twice/year.

I think he ends up in the Big West.

Oh, so NOW we're going to start basing our conversations in fact and reality? In that case, it's about to get real quiet around here! Hahahaha

South Dakota grad transfer Trey Dickerson visits Georgetown next weekend and is working on dates with Memphis and NMSU. His NMSU visit was canceled for him to visit Georgetown. That doesn't bode well.
