MyBB Fair the well, Tanveer!
Word just dropped on Verbal Commits. Wasn't he a big advocate for Weir in hiring process? Not saying it's the wrong move for him or the program. Just the difference a year makes, I suppose.

It's a great move for him. Playing time was going to be limited for him since he doesn't fit Paul Weir's system. He can transfer to another D-1 school where he can play right away.

I hope that he finds a place to play. Really nice kid with a specific set of skills that did not transition to the Paul Weir style of basketball.

Chance Ellis is also leaving. I think you could still expect 1 or 2 more players leave especially since we are still recruiting two top 100 JUCO recruits.

They already signed with NMSU back in November.

Is that confirmed Frank? He really came on strong at the end of the season although he was mostly on the bench throughout the year. Looks like Weir doesn't take any guff if you don't conform to his stringent system.

Chance shot the ball well toward the end of the season. But I think he lacked to foot speed to effective execute Weir's defense. Like Tanveer, Chance would benefit playing in a slower more diliberate half court offense.

We have two more offers out to a PG and PF who are also ranked in the top 100 JUCO ranking. Corey Davis and Vance Johnson.

Also, PG Chris McNeal who is #38 in the JC Top 100.

RE: Fair the well, Tanveer!
NMSU had the #99 rated JUCO player visiting recently, Dante Thorpe. He averaged over 20 points per game, shooting 56% from the field, and 45% from 3 point. NMSU is just loading up. Bakersfield, Utah Valley, and Grand Canyon better hit the recruiting trail. NMSU is about to leave everyone in the dust.
