Depressed how bad the MAC blows. any more its not just the coaches that will bolt but the players have some success and see ya.

I'm not going to completely miss Sendy (if/when), but I worry who he would take with him.

It's really interesting to see ... Sendy has done all the Kent board has asked in terms of putting a new face on the program, maintaining success, getting back to the NCAA ... but instead of saying "Let's see how big he can build this program" ... the conversation is already about "Not completely going to miss him" ... sounds like Akron fans and Dambrot ....

Just what do you folks want ??? .... He's done/doing his part ... now it's time for 1) - More fans to show up ... 2) - Joel to do his part ... 3) Warren/Kent to do her/its part ...

I sorta of agree. Any Kent fan who gets upset over a coach leaving is unrealistic though. If they do poorly they leave and if they do well they leave. The definition of poorly and well obviously have some gray areas so we will have to see if Sendy does leave. Personally I kind of doubt it but who knows. That might have been all alpha flash was saying. If the coach leaves shrug your shoulders and move on to the next one. Nothing we can really do whether we agree or disagree.

Secondly I agree with your three things that need to happen except I think Warren is number 1. Joel will follow her lead. As far as fans are concerned I'm pretty sure they will not lead the way. They too will follow if Warren gets the thing kick started. After attending Kent games for 30 years I have no good suggestions for getting fans to the game in greater numbers. Super seasons like 2002 help for only a year or two so you can't count on that very often.

I will agree but add but add another 15 years to your 30 and some of those years had reasonable attendance despite bad teams. I know others have mentioned this but students today have too many other interests and when they do come they are often more engaged with their smart phone than a game.

RE: Senderhoff to Dayton?
MBB is our signature program. He got us to the tourney and did his job. He has a nice recruiting class coming in again and he is building with 4 year players. NOW, Joel and the President need to do their jobs. I know a stadium update is in the works and construction starts this summer. However, we still need to give him more resources to schedule tougher games after 2017/18 and to increase his recruiting budget.

RE: Senderhoff to Dayton?
So now that Dayton has hired a coach, we can put it to rest. BTW - can anyone correct the thread title to spell coaches name correctly?

RE: Senderoff to Dayton?
Senderoff was never going to Dayton. If he were to leave at this point, it would be a move similar to Dambrot's - more money and in a better conference (but not one of the biggies) that isn't frozen with one bid.

+1, Dayton hired former player Anthony Grant.

RE: Senderoff to Dayton?
To the question...just what do you folks want?

I'll answer that as a FAN who enjoys talking about the season as it unfolds with other FANS that, like me, have never claimed to be experts. [Wow that felt like a mouthful]. Anyway, this folk wants more commitment to rotations that help the players understand their roles on the team. 19 minutes one night and a dnp the next two are getting old.

That said, I think KSU under Rob Senderoff is primed to be atop the MAC for the next few years.

What do I want?

1) A team with players that hustle and are good students and good citizens that I can be proud of. Let's face it: if the team was constantly in trouble, that would trump any on-court success. In this regard, I consider Senderoff a success.

2) A team that is successful at their level. I consider success to be in the top third of the league for this measure. Here, I think that Senderoff has been mostly successful.

3) A team that executes and can be coached to win close games and can get a notch higher than top third of the league successful. Here, Senderoff hasn't been as successful but the last half of the season gave me a lot of encouragement.

If I were to grade Senderoff, I'd give him a B+ for his tenure. I think he is the right coach for this club and I hope that the recent success can be built upon to take the team to the next level.
