LSU....they had the name 3-4 years before Clemson started playing football. As a matter of fact when Clemson first started playing and they were in the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Assoc., LSU was already a memeber. That is probably where they picked up on Tigers and Tiger Rag. The nickname of the stadiums came years later and LSU had their's before Clemson.

I have tried to get someone over on the Clemson side to research their history, but they all seem stupid over there....sooo.....I will have to say you guys are the original Tigers.
