He got his panties in a wad because he was punished for violating team rules and left. Am sure he either cleaned up his act at RI or he would have been suspended there also. He was at least two years older and with it come maturity. Nichols didn't clean up his act and where is he now????

He was looking at a logjam at his position and playing time was a factor.

BTW he is only averaging 5 points a game more than he did here and was most likely NOT going to beat out Dedric for playing time.

Outside of rebounding his stats the last two years per minute played were not as good as when he was here.

It will be good only if they fill the scholarship. As of rightnow I would have to say we will see Randell in 2 years with some team playing in the tourney while we are all talking about missing the post season 5 straight seasons.

What tourney caliber team wants Randall? He going to go the route of Damien Wilson

We will get another unranked, Manhattan recruited or Keon/Randall/Chad type player who are not high D1 players. Randall has shown he can hit 3s. Randle 26.2%

And Randle was only marginally better this past season

Can't really consider either one a guy who can hit 3s.

I come here to laugh at people who NOW try to act like Opie didn't ruin the program or run off good players.

Tubby may or may not be able to get the job done. I am willing to give him a year or so to find out.
But I can not in good conscious blame him for players that Pastner recruited leaving when Pastner couldn't keep his own recruits.

Ever think it was something besides Pastner?

Usually don't like losing players. Teams average about 2 of these a year these days, but I typically don't like it all the same. And I don't especially like losing Randall. But honestly it's not a big loss. There are 3-star HS guys out there who have much higher upside. Keon has higher upside.

Agree that it's on the staff to fill out the roster, and that's one more slot. If this is another post-season discussion with the staff where it's not a good fit - kudos to both sides for handling it well and making tough decisions. Good news: You've got another scholly available for better potential. Risk: You got to fill the extra scholly.
