Keatts IMO is slimy. He learned from the best in Pitino.
agree 100% , proof is in the pudding.

I think 82Hawk spoke with Keatts a few times and Keatts blew smoke up his ass by saying the right things that a fan wants to hear.

Can't deny the results here. No one is debating that. outside of that......

I get it, you didn't like the hire of McGrath.

what the hell does that have to do with my statement? My Point was Keatts had a very good run here, for that i'm grateful. What happened at the end of the season from talking with State before our season was over(clearly) to taking CJ, i have a problem with. C.B has nothing to do with what i was discussing.

You're way out of your league.

Yeah, ok

That's what you get for thinking. Don't speak about someone else if you have no facts. You don't know me and I don't know you. You have no idea how I know Keatts or how much we've spoken. How often have you spoken to him?

Your right, I don't know you. Care to enlighten me why you love Keatts so much? I haven't spoken to Keatts, nor do I care to at this point. Alex Riley covered the team most of last year. I think he has spoken with Keatts many times. I will take his word.

Not that I love him, but I don't get all the hate for a guy that gave us three great years and everything he had from start to finish. All this crap about "Keatts is about Keatts", or "he's slimy" is a PERSONAL attack and unrelated to the game of basketball.

I have spoken with Keatts many times as well. And not just about basketball or as a reporter. I had a chance to get to know him, his kids and know about his family. So for random fans or a reporter to attack him personally or attack his character with ZERO facts is not acceptable. And if "taking" Bryce is the basis for this nonsense, then apply the label equally to any coach that has a player follow them when they move.

It's an ignorant position to take and completely discounts the wishes of the players.

i don't appreciate implying i'm ignorant here. It's completely bush league to take your star player with you and give little respect to university that actually gave you your shot. I'd give the same hell to ANY coach that did the same. If CJ wanted out that's fine, he had options. State, didn't have to be one of them. Everyone is entitled to opinions here. It sounds like your experience was much difference than Alex's. So naturally, you'd have different opinions.

It's not so unusual for players to follow the coach they came to play for. Like I said before, two players went with Brownell. The final decision to go is all on the player. Nobody held a gun to their heads.

Neither one of those players set us back 2 years........... taking a recruit or a role player is much different than taking a conference first teamer. I'm not sure how we always end up back on this topic. Because clearly many of disagree on the subject and that's fine.

Hell CJ had plenty of options, most better hoops options than second rate state, but he went there for one reason, coach recruited him there.

That so called role player was Gardner, who was touted as being the next Goldsberry. No one knew any different when he left. Just like no one knows how CJ will pan out. They both contributed enough to help him on his way to Clemson.

I will just leave this alone. Keatts is not the coach at UNCW, so I will move on.

You do realize Keatts and Bryce KNEW each other, right? If Keatts left, and Bryce wanted to leave, it would be foolish for Bryce to rule out NCSU and equally foolish for Keatts to rule out Bryce.

Not to mention, Keatts took assistants as well, people Bryce also knew. Has it occurred to you the parents of Bryce knew Keatts and supported the decision as well? I think your hate for State is clouding your judgement.

So. Simple question. Was Brownell "slimy" as well?

Heard from someone close to the Keatts that CJ has really improved in his transfer year. They think he's an all-conference type of talent.

There, fixed
