This is of little consolation to those men, women and children that are, you know, in actual physical bondage.

But I do see your point about how man himself is a pretty nasty all around dude.

Of course, God made us that way. He didn't have to, but he did.

Let me try my best Trump: Wrong.

Man was not made to sin by God. We do a good job of it ourselves. He KNEW it but He didn't make us that way. He gave us the freedom to choose and many even me before I accepted Him loved to sin. It's more fun but at the same time I know this too it leads to destruction.

For instance, there's a certain individual here that complains because the medicine he needs to take is very expensive when all that person needs to do is stop his sexual actions and he won't need that medicine that shrinking his purse. He'd rather sin though, it's more fun.

Actually its tremendous comfort & consolation to those who believe in Him. Its tremendous comfort and consolation to people in all sorts of horrible situations in this life. Lord knows the world is full of horrible things people have to endure, slavery is just one of many. They can see the bigger picture and know they are here to overcome trials and tribulations in their mortal life, no matter if its as a slave or "free" or whatever horrible situation they may be born into or trapped in.

And we are still stuck with the reality that slavery is rampant in the world no matter what the bible says, just as murder, rape and countless other horrible things men do to each other.

When you are lost you can't see past your own mortality. Again, you are a slave to death and sin, but you are offered immortality & freedom from death and sin through Him.

People REALLY need to stop trying to equate the modern definition of slavery and slavery 3000 years ago.

Most poor people 3000 years ago WANTED to be a slave to a powerful master. It meant food, shelter, protection and family for you and your children.

It was a competently different world.

I'm pretty sure they would rather not be slaves. Especially the ones who were slaves because they were the spoils of war. Slaves in the U.S. in the south also got food and shelter for their families.

How about the slaves in the US Northern states? Got any presentism ideas about how they felt?

Mach......

God FULLY endorsed a wall around Jerusalem throughout the bible and for most of Israel's existence.

Gently remove foot from mouth.
