What is the team travel schedule for a game like this? When do they leave? From which airport? When do they return?

Not sure what you mean by "a game like this". Nebraska is no different than Buffalo or Kent St. Team flies out of Rockford the day before the game, and returns immediately after the game.

Thanks for the answer. I should have specified a game they fly to as opposed to taking a bus.

The following week they will head to San Diego.

I wish DeKalb was that way.... I mean, it is, just the people decide NIU football isn't as good as watching grass grow.

I read in an article years ago that on Saturdays in the fall, the number of people in the stands for the game would qualify the stadium as the second largest city in the state.

And then there are the people without tickets that come to Lincoln just to be part of game day.

Actually Omaha at almost 500,000 and Lincoln at over 280,000+ Are bigger than cornhusker stadium at about 85,000+
