I know what it says, I read the thread. Chief (and the article) also said that Ark State had $43 million in revenue. I called bs as the numbers didn't make sense. No way that program had revenue growth of over 150% in 4 years. As the article in this thread demonstrates, I was correct.

But this does give an idea. Think I'll get a big loan from a bank in Jonesboro and then walk next door and take out another after demonstrating my new revenue stream.

The Equity in Athletics annual report is issued by the U.S. Department of Education and the NCAA has nothing to do with this.

Equity in Athletics is Title IX based. There are different rules regarding what they call revenue and what the NCAA/US Today calls revenue.

i get it that student fees, donations, and university "support" are called revenues. Calling capital expenditures "revenue" not only sounds dishonest, it sounds ludicrous.

As I asked previously, when capital expenditures drop back to traditional levels, will you and your AD claim your athletic budget has been slashed? Somehow I think not.

So the top SEVEN Sun Belt Schools are equal to Texas....

Why are LAneck fans always jealous of any progress with Sunbelt schools? I guess they aren't as "separated" from their peer schools as they'd like to think, huh?

I think all stAte fans admitted that this was a one year expression of expenditures due to our stadium upgrades. Yet you continue to show up over here in our forums trying to drag down any success a school in this conference might have. Go home.

Let's be honest here, the original post was a "look at me" thread giving the impression that Ark State now has an operating budget on par with AAC schools. It doesn't, and it's not even close. In fact, much like our situation, Ark State is near the bottom of the belch in revenue generation and is now making some much needed and long overdue capital expenditures to catch up with most everyone else in the conference. That's why I scratched my head and dug deeper when the thread was orginally posted, a $43 million operating budget?????

My posts have nothing to do with jealousy and everything to do with stating facts clearly. With the spending going on at Troy, Laffy, and others in the conference, if they included captial expenditures in the operating budget numbers, they'd look much the same or perhaps even better. Don't fear facts.
