I JUST HOPE
our fan base is not being unfair with tubby. Ya know, we have our own flavor of expectations. Fans are expecting this coach to build a program. Fans are hopeful that a high salaried coach with a national championship ring will get this job done.
I am not sure if fans are accurate in being critical of two consecutive games at the end of the season where the Tigers were not competitive and were blown off the court.

Are we accurate in thinking this is an indicator of us not building a winning program with the current staff? I just hope our flavor of expectations is not too harsh. (Turn your sarcasm meter up.)

Tubster tells Keelon to take a hike he better have a hell of a recruiting class lined up or he'll get crucified.

I think expecting the team not to roll over and die is pretty reasonable for a coach with 30+ years of experience. If tubby can't manage that then he can go coach at the Y

Figuratively, not literally.

Dedric will end up playing in Minot, ND or Serbia next year. So be it. He is soft and unmotivated. No where near an NBA quality player.

Keylon and KJ can grab a bus to Troy State for all I care. I still think KJ was over rated and uncontrolled. Pus, I think he was a mental cancer on the team.

Not sold on Tubby's ability to turn this program around but I am convinced that he needs to clean house, including some of his staff (read: son,and Keylon) and rebuild this sucker from scratch, if he has the fortitude and drive to do so. I'm not sure he has the motivation and drive to do it.

Man, there is so much wrong with this program, I don't know if it can be fixed in my lifetime.

Damn good post!
Keelon and KJ need to take a hike. I said all season long Keelon was bitter and KJ is a head case. The Lawsons are overrated. I wouldn't doubt if Keelon didn't set Jason Smith up to report the story about Dedric leaving and declaring for the draft. We don't need the Lawson's. We lost by 30 freakin points with them both.

There's something I don't understand. DL has a season averaging a double-double and is voted first team all conference, and KJ is voted rookie of the year, and some say we don't need them? Hmm, interesting.

"Addition by subtraction" can yield a better result in basketball in a very toxic situation but "addition by addition" is a more proven method. I think more and better players should be tried first by Tubby.

I think that's a small minority. As long as there is nothing toxic going on(any type of power play by Keelon), then we need all the Lawsons.

I would think that when you lose your last 2 games by 71 pts., they have lost leverage.

RE: I JUST HOPE
My biggest concern with this hire was he had never been a consistent top recruiter for a coach of his ability. This has baffled me since the 90’s and continues to this day.

It was obvious to me after Opie’s destruction of the program a new coach would definitely need very good recruiting skills to fill voids. Didn’t happen this season and may not next year either. Or the next or the next (ect, ect).

Well we just lost 2 games by 71 points with both of them on the floor. Stats are nice, how about the team chemistry? How about f'in the stats and playing defense? There is obviously a cancer on the team.
