He's definitely overpaid, he should still be at American because he didn't earn the odu job. He was a .500 coach at American.

Keatts should be our coach right now and we should be headed to the tourney.

Wood deserves just as much credit for this disaster as anyone.

Now, Jones is on the hot seat. A horrible job of coaching in this game. He completely embarrassed himself by leaving Talley on the bench all first half. Just because Talley missed some shots does not mean you leave him out of the first half.

Secondly....Jones leaves Porter on the bench for the last 6 minutes of the game. I don't need to elaborate on why that was a blunder.

Lastly...Branden Stith needs to get himself together as a basketball player. For a strong human being, he is a mentally weak player. He shouldn't ever be compared to another odu basketball player. Throw your stats out of the window and watch him meltdown when things aren't going his way.

Also, Marshall is one of the best teams in the entire nation at pushing the ball and scoring on a fast break before a defense is set.

It was absolutely HORRIBLE coaching not to take a timeout after the tying basket and set our defense to prevent them from doing exactly what they did, blowing by our defense.

There is no excuse for that whatsoever.

Depending on what rumor you believe, Keatts removed his name from consideration. I certainly thought he was our best option, but if he's not interested what can you do. Of course its possible Wood just picked his friend over Keatts, and if thats the case he will have to answer for it somehow in the next year.

I'm not gonna argue over and over with you but for an end of the game foul, he made as much contact with Elmore as the defender did with Talley. It was good defense. I'm not defending Jeff Jones but you aren't watching with clear eyes.

Can we just pay them the money and have them mail us a trophy?

We have to figure out a way to get to the line more often Marshall is a jump shooting team but got to the line 14 more times. On our drives we just dont get contact. Hell, teach Caver and Talley to throw their head back and flop when driving if that is what it takes.

The departures of Taylor and Baker should lower the turnovers and increase free throw percentage.

I expect a better team next year. Top 2 or the seat gets warm

Top 2 nothing. It's JJ'S 5th season. We'd better be dancing or he needs to go. Otherwise we owe Jeff Capel Sr. an apology.

We better get good at shooting FTs if that happens. And the seat is warm now, it gets hot as fire if we have another season without NCAAs next year.

If you put a lot of the things that have been said together, it is clear that he was a legitimate option. Something broke down and it was either a lowball offer or the fact that he was the third or fourth option. Or the folks in the AD are just lying to cover their idiotic decision.

And I know from 2 sources one on the ODU side and one on the Keatts side that he was indeed interested. What happened between him being interested and us hiring JJ, I have no idea, but we had an opportunity. I know nobody will believe me, but I don't really care.

Marshall only shot 70% but had 11 more points at the stripe.

This is on the players. No one but the players. So many lapses of judgement on that court tonight. Pathetic performance.

I am so embarrassed for this team. The amount of points scored against one of the worst defensive teams in the country, is pathetic.
