Time set for EMU/Army at West Point Oct 14. And CBSSN, national TV.

http://www.emueagles.com/news/2017/3/29/...twork.aspx

I plan to attend the Rutgers game and if we are playing well, maybe also attend the Army game. West Point is beautiful in mid-October.

Checks in at #46 on the list of top 130 starting QB's. Only MAC QB ahead of him is Whiteside at #19.

Also on the list of top 25 QB's on the rise in 2017: https://athlonsports.com/college-footbal...-rise-2017

A solid year and he will definitely be getting looks from NFL scouts.

Good for Brogan. If he continues to improve like he did last year, we'll be in good shape.

Lamar Jackson at #1 is laughable. The guy was horrible down the stretch as teams figured out how to play him defensively, and he finished the season 0-3.

Darnold is 10x the QB Jackson is.

Gus Ragland is ahead of him at 44. I don't agree with it, personally, and I am a fan of Ragland. I don't think any coach in the conference would take him over Roback, but that's just my opinion.

Brogan has an NFL arm but needs to improve his decision making skills. As I have stated before, Brogan will be the best QB in the MAC next year bar none. Last season, Whiteside had a better OL, RB, and WRs. This season, if our OL comes together, look for Roback to become 1st team All-MAC.

Spring game this Saturday at 3pm

Wow a great deal on season tickets. Did I read this right that individual tickets are $25 per game. I think that's a mistake. As we build the program up, we need Football to be family friendly let's say $18/game max.

$15 in advance, $25 last minute walk up at the gate. Last year they were $20 at the gate.

Season packages great just like last year.

Had a friend "refer" me and I got 1 ticket for $44 plus got an additional 1 ticket for free. He got $10 credit to his account. Unreal deal. $44 gets my wife and I both seats at all home games.

Yes its a great deal but they kept the season ticket price for this year (at least for me at)$75 per season ticket but you are getting less games so its actually a small price increase. The good news is that I expect less home games to be moved for TV purposes this year.

Forgot where we are placing stories on EMU players and the draft.

A few are attending the Lions Local Day.

Nice article on spring ball and Saturday's spring game.

Big omission leaving out Breck Turner. Knock on wood, unlike previous 2 years, no major injuries thus far in Spring Ball. Starters only going to see about 15 reps each.

Agree. EMU has great depth, talent, and experience at RB.

Nice report by Ypsi's own Dave Goricki.

RE: Unofficial 2017 Spring Ball Thread
Could someone explain our TE situation with EMPHASIS on blocking abilities?

One thing we frequently forget or neglect is the value of the TE as a blocker. A TE can 'chip' a DE before going into his pass patterns. Good way to help an OT who doesn't match-up well vs. a DE, essentially a light double team or against an all-conference DE.

In the NFL I assume that the TE helps the RT who is usually the lesser of the two OTs. Because DEs can flip from side to side, the RT might need help versus a dominant DE who is suddenly lined up opposite him.
