FYI - This list is only for football. It's not all revenues and expenses.

Equity in Athletics uses different reporting methods/standards. Alabama's revenue is something like $160m plus. This report shows $103m.

RE: REVENUES AND EXPENSES FOR ALL FBS SCHOOLS
I am always a bit suspicious of the sport specific revenues and expenses published on Equity in Athletics. Although I'm sure the Dept. of Education gives guidance, I also believe schools have some discretion in how revenues and expenses are allocated. One school may book a revenue or expenses as football specific, while another school may book it as non sport specific. A TV contract, for instance, may cover all of the schools teams, but in reality a bulk of the money is paid for the rights to football. One school may allocate the contract among sports while another may classify the expense as general. The same is true on the expense side for the cost of facilities that may be used by multiple teams.

Still, this is interesting info.

I think you're comparing total revenue to football-only revenue.

That's fair. I missed that distinction too. However, the way numbers are reported to Equity isn't the best yardstick.

The numbers are self-reported by each school as required by EADA (which IIRC is for Title IX compliance). WVU reported spending < $19M on football while earning just over that amount.

RE: REVENUES AND EXPENSES FOR ALL FBS Football SCHOOLS
The difference is probably due to some combo of TV money and donations. I'm guessing WVU doesn't include TV, but the others do.
