Has any team from a lesser league gone to a better league and instantly been the odds on favorite to win the league?
Wichita should be the preseason favorite.
I really hope it happens and hope that this year they give Memphis home and homes with Wichita, Cincinnati, and SMU or whoever is supposed to be good - Temple, UCF, whoever.
We need all the RPI/Ken Pom boosts we can gets.
Add those 6 games to Alabama and Louisville.
Not too shabby overall.

Wichita better have a line of credit with the Kochs if they enter the AAC.
They need P5 facilities. Period. I don't care about a coach who will leave when a blue blue or Ohio State will open.
It's going to be about $60 million.

It seems like their President gets it. [1]
The quote that stood out for me.
Quote:Potential changes in athletics are connected to the bigger picture of how WSU can help enrollment and Wichita’s economy.
From the start, Bardo talked about his desire to be associated with large, urban universities with research missions that are similar to WSU. He points to schools such as Cincinnati and Houston. The MVC is populated by four private schools and five other public schools, all of which are located in cities smaller than Wichita.
“This is about the positioning of the university,” he said. “If Wichita is going to be successful as a city as we continue to move into this world that none of us fully have grips on yet, the university has to be at the center of what happens in the city. Which means we have to have a reputation and an ability to deliver that causes the city to be perceived as having value.”

It is the Washington Post. Not the most professional publication around.

I think Msrshall is a different cat. He may leave one day but it will be to one of only about 4 schools if he does. It's not always about the money for some people. Everyone also thought he was waiting on Texas and Indiana

Good lord STP.
If Wichita was to move to AAC does that not have to wait until 18-19?
