The BCS is about to extend its domination - this time through the radio airwaves. Two regional talk shows: "Conference Call SEC" and "Conference Call ACC" will begin broadcasting over widespread networks 3 hours daily, 5 days a week, 52 weeks a year. The syndicators have already announced plans to add similar shows for the other 3 "power conferences" (apparently the Big East is not on the agenda). All calls will be screened to make sure .that topics of discussion are restricted to the BCS conferences. These shows will not only reinforce C-USA's image as second-class but allows them to bash us (and they will) with impudence. Eventually, C-USA recruiting and support will suffer as a result. The following things should be done:

(1) We should all alert our respective fans, university officials and the C-USA office

(2) Conference Call sponsors should be contacted and the unfairness, harmfulness and stupidity of the format explained

(3) C-USA should contact the syndicators and request a similar show - if refused, a class-action lawsuit and/or an appeal to the FCC on the basis of unequl airtime should be seriously considered.

If we, our schools and conference do nothing about this serious and intolerable situation, we will deserve what happens.
